Friday's Activities Include: survived a week! Woods Hill, two sitters

We survived the week after returning from the West Coast! As eastward travelers appreciate, this is not a trivial thing. The kids went to school. They headed out with sitters shortly after coming home. Yesterday, C. took T. to see Rock Dog. Today, she took A. to see Rock Dog. Both kids really liked the movie, but because they went during the week, I don't think we'll be seeing it this weekend, which had been our original plan.

R. and I went to Woods Hill Table, where I drank Maple Manhattans and we both ate a lot of raw seafood and some cooked pork. Also, there was bread, salad and an apple galette with coconut sorbet. The raw seafood included a lot of oysters, but also some raw clams. I've never had clams raw, but honestly, I now really wonder why, because they are excellent. We also had salmon poke.

On an absolute scale, I like Bondir better (which is why we go there so much more often) but it is just lovely having so many wonderful restaurants in the next town over (and good ones in our own town as well). Woods Hill Table is consistently excellent. We had planned to bring T. with us if we only got one sitter, but it was great to get date night instead, which we haven't had in a while.
