Memorial Day Weekend in New Hampshire, Part the Second

Well, the bike ride didn't happen (R. still not feeling well) and we got a late start. This was _not_ a great day for a late start. We parked across the street. The line to get in with a voucher was long. The line to get the official Season Pass was long. The lines on the rides were long. While R. had the sense to have lunch at 11:30 a.m. when T. wanted ice cream, I didn't, because I wanted to make sure A. actually ate lunch today. So I waited in a long line to order, then waited in a long line to receive the food.

Not one of our best days.

R. did ultimately get a bike ride later in the day (a short one) and we followed it up with dinner at Applebee's. We got there around 5, and it wasn't crowded yet. The kids ate and seemed happy. I got a walk as well. I headed out of the townhouse not really sure where I was going, spotted a trailhead, went back for my regular glasses and walked downhill through the woods where I wound up at a very busy road. I walked to the right and found nothing interesting. I walked to the left, and found a sign indicating recreation trail ahead. I crossed the road and the tracks and found a path in Conservation Land: Pudding Pond, a loop trail. I didn't do the loop, because when I got to Pudding Pond, it was prime mosquito habitat. I took one picture and beat feet back to the townhouse so we could go to the water park.

The day didn't go great, but it ended well.

ETA: Forgot to mention, we even got to do our regular Sunday FaceTime call with C., R.'s mum and the kids' grandmum. Hotel wifi was great and didn't limit the number of devices/computers/etc. that we used.
