After the phone call, I figured out that when the Solomon Pond Lane Bryant closed, they opened one in Hudson. D'oh. Only took me two years to notice. Two years of driving to Burlington, which is longer and has more traffic on the route. So I got a much needed refresh of basics and a couple cute shirts and a jacket.
I had a can of soup for lunch (I'd had some cole slaw earlier), and walked with M. Then the kids got home so I unpacked their stuff, watched while A. did some math homework, talked to T. about a minor task that I'd started without him, which didn't make him happy, but he was okay with taking out what I'd done and putting it back in, then adding more to it. Now I'm catching up on laundry. I ran roomba downstairs earlier, other than that, trying very hard to have a mellow day.
I know it has been a tough fall, both because of the election and just because, for a lot of people I know and love. Please be kind to yourself and tell the people you love that you love them. We'll all get through this together if we just keep affirming our caring, human connections.
