Monday's Activities Include: Whole Foods, playdate, walk, cleaning

T. and I went to Whole Foods today. I was going to buy fake ice cream to go with the very real apple pie, however when I saw cocowhip (fake cool/dream whip) in the freezer, I was like, perfect! I like that better on pie anyway, I just didn't know there was a completely dairy free version! It was excellent.

So, yeah, I had a slice of pie.

The girls had a playdate and the sitter took them out after. D. and I went for a 3 mile walk which was really pleasant. It looks like the tropical storm due to rain its edges on us decided to give us a miss instead and I am not complaining.

I watched/listened to Friday's TRMS while cleaning the stovetop, vacuuming my car and cleaning part of the stairs. R. is out for a bike ride.

It's been a very pleasant day, and I'm looking forward to both kids being in school starting tomorrow. They are also looking forward to it. A. is having no trouble adjusting to the early schedule, which I had been worried about. But even today, she bounced out of bed before 7:30 and wanted to come watch My Little Pony in my room and tickle me. Hard to sleep when someone is tickling you. It's all my fault, tho, because that's how I used to wake her up every morning. Parenting tactics will always come back to haunt one.

ETA: Apparently the girls went to a playground and Plaster Fun Time, and had lunch at Applebee's. R. and I went to Red Raven for dinner. T. saw Willie Wonka at Maynard Fine Arts today.

We did a little gentle scraping of the floor of the oven. I scrubbed the racks. I'm debating running the clean cycle sometime soon with the windows open, ideally when I'm going to be out of the house for at least a couple hours (that thing messes with my breathing).

I got the vacuum cleaner out and vacuumed the runner on the stairs. There is still a lot of dirt ground into the corners that is going to probably take something sharp to extract.
