Today, T. and A. went to school. While they were at school, I got an email proposing a playdate. I called T. at school, but he didn't answer, so I left a message on his teacher's voice mail. She called back and I talked to T. and we agreed to have a playdate. We had a good time, but at the end, one of the children was sad to leave, which was a little stressful. But the playdate itself was good, with kindle/iPad games, hide and go seek, and snack.

I called my friend R., who is back from a retreat in Hawaii on the Big Island. We had a great conversation, very long, to make up for missed conversations, and to catch up on news and thoughts.

Yesterday, I realized that I had last ordered swimsuits from Swim Outlet in August 2012, rather than some time in 2013 as I had thought. So the password wasn't in my password manager; I had to retrieve (and then change) it. While I was at it, I ordered some new swim suits. I had ordered one in the interim from Lane Bryant, but it's really nice to not have to rely on just one new one.

I was excited to be reminded of Brian Daley's books when talking to M., my walking partner. She was talking about Star Wars novels, and we both liked Daley's, even though they are from quite a long while ago as these things go. I remembered his Alacrity Fitzhugh books, and they were available on kindle, so I bought those. So are the Han Solo books, but so far I have resisted the temptation; I don't remember those being quite as good.
